Maps for reconstruction

Map nail reconstruction is used to stretch your nail and during this process the beautician or onychotechnics will give the right shape and size to your nails using typically a monophasic or acrylic gel.

The maps are placed at the bottom of the nail, where the gel will then be put to give the latter more length. The gel hardens as a result of the polymerization of uv lamps and the map is removed so that you can further finish the nail with the desired shape and apply any enamels or decorations.

How do you rebuild your nails with the map?

First you need to get the material below. You can buy the products you need separately, or rely on a nail reconstruction kit that contains everything you need.

Before we see how we proceed, remember that this treatment lasts from four to five weeks, but of course a lot depends on the stress to which the nails are subjected: heavy and manual work or use of chemicals tend to shorten their duration.

Cleaner

Gel for highly viscous monophasic or triphasic system

Cuticle oil

Millimetre maps

Files

Enamels and needed for decorations

UV lamp

PRIMER

Procedure:

Disinfect and clean hands. The nails must not bear traces of any kind of polish and must be perfectly clean before proceeding.

At this point we can pass the file or buffer. This step serves to make the nail rougher and allow greater adherence during the reconstruction phase.

Take a first step with the primer

Apply the map under the nail that must adhere perfectly, as a kind of extension of the same, so no space between the nail and the map.

Apply a layer of the builder gel over the nail and over the map, up to the length you want. In the monophasic method, only one product is used, while in the triphasic a gel is spread before the base. Let it dry in the lamp.

Repeat the same process for all fingers

Take another step with your primer

Evaporate by curing your nails in the oven with UV lamps.

Now apply the builder or monophasic going to process to cure and dry

Remove the map and apply the gel to shape the nail and give it a blast

Spread a thin layer of colored or polish semi-permanent

Cured for about two minutes or for what is indicated on the gel used, degrease and apply a layer of UV gel on the elongation of the nail; again, have it cured for another two minutes.

At this point we can proceed to smooth and finish our nails giving the desired shape and length to each.

Here are also some tips to get a nail reconstruction with perfect maps:

1 act accurately and pay attention to each step

2 do not do reconstructions and do not use gels on nails that have mycosis or flaking

3 avoid keeping the reconstruction for too long, take a break between reconstructions
